The black diamond gym 30 is a great addition to the range and well thought out. At 2 1 ounces per meter the 9 2mm full dry is the lightest of the single ropes designed for use in any season. Black diamond s 9 6mm rope was designed to do everything well and stand up to a beating while doing it. Sometimes i through my harness shoes and belay device in there too.

We were happy with the handling and performance of the 9 9 and look forward to checking out. We chose to test the 9 9 mm rope as it was already a top seller on many outdoor retailers but they are making a full compliment of ropes from this one all the way down to 7 8 mm half ropes. This is solely for my gym rope which keeps it clean and is very easy to use. With the reputation for making some of the most durable and trusted hard goods in the industry we were curious to see if black diamond ropes lived up to their reputation.

Black diamond released its rope line in january offering a total of 13 new cords from beefy 9 9mm gym ropes to a 7 8mm half rope. I reckon if i was using a leading wall more often i would opt for the gym 35 which would easily be big enough for my kit and a 40m rope. I have a 40 meter rope which fits well with room to spare. Black diamond just recently started making ropes and we were excited to check them out in our updated review.
